I love this software. I also like the concept. What do you think?

Prospective Trailer for Law Offices of Mark J. Warfel
Well, what do you think?
So far most people suggest losing the guy with the fake eyeball, which I might do. The pictures were just whatever we had on the computer at the time. I mostly wanted to see what I could put together quickly. The soundtrack has been all over the place. This was the concensus best soundtrack, but we've got African music, French, Beethoven, you name it.

Here it is - video
The new video was done by some great people through Yellow Book.
I don't know how much business it brings in, so its ROI may not be so good, hard to tell in this economy, but it does capture a bit of the tone and passion that I bring to family law.

Video Finally Coming to my Site
After thinking about this for years, I finally agreed to a video ad through a yellow pages directory.
The one minute video will be posted on You Tube - though I will own it. It will also be on the internet yellow pages advertising, and I can put it on my web-site.
So, what to make a 60 second commercial about?
In the end, I decided that the 60-second shot should be essentially two 30 second shots that I can use as an introduction and conclusion around any other content regarding my law firm.
So, I need a catchy phrase, a visually appealing video, perhaps a great voice-over, and perhaps a bit of music - a signature of sorts. All of which conveys that advocacy with insight, we work for YOU.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Banner ads - divorce can be overwhelming
I've been having some fun with adobe flash files.
One idea -
Divorce can be overwhelming
I think this makes the reader sea sick and doesn't give off enough confidence.

Adding some interest to your site?
Do we make our sites more visually attractive, or will that distract the potential client from the meat of the site?
Why make this an either/or question?
I recently added some Adobe flash files to my primary site at http://www.attorneyincourt.com.
I started out with several banners that have movement in them, and also several other images that have movement. About midway through adding them to various pages, the banners stopped working properly, so I ended up deleting them and just using a single moving "advertisement" on the web-site, though it was placed on a variety of pages.
The movement attracts attention, and merely states that having the right divorce attorney makes a world of difference. I then shows my picture, next a watch with a finger pointing to it over the caption "don't delay", and finally, the phrase "Protect Your Assets" over the name of the law firm.
Not a whole lot of substance, there, though perhaps just as much in the teaser videos that were pitched to me a couple of months ago.
At least I had control over the message (though the movement and graphics were pre-made by someone else).
Haven't had any feedback yet as to whether or not those viewing the site are more likely to give us a call or to hire us as their divorce attorney.
Though it makes ME feel good to see the "jazzed up" site, I do not know whether this will translate into more clients. At least the exercise caused me to contemplate the value message I wanted to convey in a slogan - look around to find the right attorney, don't delay, protect our assets. This is good advice to anyone facing a divorce, so I can feel good about the message. This, of course, is a prerequisite to putting anything on my web site.
Can a site be too jazzed up?
